Woodsman, pathfinder, and master of the bow, the keen-eyed Hunter can use her arrows to devastating effect from a distance. Archery is not the only thing the Hunter excels at, for she can lead her companions through the forest at greater speed than they could on their own, and can set up traps to ambush enemies. The archer is no close-quarters fighter, however, and would generally rather let her bow do the work than resort to her sword.
The Hunter will be the class of choice for players who enjoy striking a target at range. Clever by nature, the Hunter is known to lure her targets into traps to hinder them, giving her time to use her bow to deadly effect. One of the biggest costs associated with adventuring in the most dangerous areas is the overhead cost of repairs if you happen to die. Turbine accidentally gave people a way around this issue with their most recent patch, which allows characters under 10th level to die without damaging their objects in inventory. For this reason, it’s a particularly good strategy to use such chracters as mules, picking up treasure as it drops, but protected by the rest of a higher level group. Lower level mules can also be used to trigger traps,activating monsters, or drawing them towards traps or luring them out without risk, allowing the higher level characters to focus on damage. One technique this can also be used in would be to lure a mob of creatures towards the rest of a party, and have that party pick off one of the monsters, drawing its aggro while the lower level mule character draws the rest of the mob away from the battle for the moment. This gives parties a low-risk way to break up even the largest, toughest mobs. It also guarantees that they will respawn individually, rather than all at once, allowing parties to safely camp out near particularly lucrative treasure chests, etc.
Mining ore is progressively riskier in LOTRO, but it’s not necessarily a good idea to mine the most advanced ores to make a good profit. The way that LOTRO levels up prospecting skills requires even high-level prospectors to have copper ore, which is surprisingly the most in demand in the game, fetching prices up to 2 silver each in the auction house. The best place to mine silver is on near the road from the Brandywine Bridge to the construction camp along the road southwest of Bree, as it respawns most rapidly there. It is quite possible to harvest 80 copper there in one hour, which could be sold for up to 160 silver in the auction house… perhaps more as the economy starts to develop and inflation kicks in. As the game evolves, it may be a far better idea for leveling prospectors to harvest and auction copper in order to buy other ores which are, by definition, less in demand for experience leveling purposes.
One of the best areas of the game to farm for quality drops is in the Emyn Hoedh region of northeastern Erid Luin. The wights in that region drop consistantly good treasure, but are easier to kill and in less dangerous groupings than the wights of the Barrow Downs to the west of Bree. From my experience, this is an even better location than the city to the east in the same area of Erid Luin, as the resale value of the items dropped is better and the drops are more consistantly good. This area will get even better as the game progresses, as demands for wights body parts increases… many are used for potions and the like.

Word Meaning
When authors write, they often include context clues to the meaning of words they use but think that some of their readers may not know. The context clue is usually presented in the sentence or paragraph in which the word occurs. Sometimes a visual such as a picture is provided.
Here are six types of context clues used by authors to help the reader understand the meanings of words. An example is provided for each.
1. Definition context clue
The author includes a definition to help the reader understand the meaning of a word. In the following example, “tainted” is defined as having a disease.
The people of the town were warned not to eat the tainted fish. The local newspaper published a bulletin in which readers were clearly told that eating fish that had a disease could be very dangerous. This was especially true for fish caught in Lake Jean.
2. Synonym context clue
The author includes a synonym to help the reader understand the meaning of a word. A synonym is a word that means the same as or nearly the same as another word. In the following example, the synonym “pity” helps the reader understand the meaning of “compassion. ”
After seeing the picture of the starving children, we all felt compassion or pity for their suffering.
3. Antonym context clue
The author includes an antonym to help the reader understand the meaning of a word. An antonym is a word that means the opposite of another word. In the following example, the antonym “eager” helps the reader understand the meaning of “reluctant. ”
Joe was reluctant to take on the position of captain of the basketball team. He was afraid that the time it would take would hurt his grades. On the other hand, Billy was eager for the chance to be captain. He thought that being captain of the team would make him very popular in school.
4. Description context clue

The Lowbie Druid: 40s
My lowbie Druid is coming along these days, hitting an area of “many dungeons” in the 40s and not having many problems finding groups when I actually sit down to spend her rest bonus
About My Druid
My Druid is a female Tauren, spec’d completely Balance, and in her mid-40s.
I’ve been doing nothing but Dungeon instances with her since before level 20, and have been healing most of the time, with an occasional bout of caster-DPSing, and one time where I tanked something for some guildmates.
Her professions are Skinning and Enchanting. Enchanting is nearly at 300.
I’ve already got a 375 Enchanter, but I wasn’t sure how much I’d be playing or advancing my Hunter, and wondered if I would do better with gathering recipes on a Healing/Casting Druid. This remains to be seen.
Resting Up For Dungeons
This toon, because she’s a healer, got into dungeon groups for dungeons I couldn’t even get quests for yet… going through Ulda at 35, Maraudon at 41 (where all my cast attacks were resisted by halfway through since all the mobs were 45+), and Zul’Farrak in my early 40s as well.
So now, I’m running around and gathering up quests for Uldaman, Scarlet Monestary, and Maraudon (having already gone through ZF enough to gather and finish the quests) so I can PUG my way to having completed those this weekend to burn off HER rest bonus.

I’ve been doing just fine healing as Balance spec with gear that focusses on a strong mana pool, but I’ve been told that BRD is where the “wrong spec for healing” starts to become a problem.

Heroics and Karazhan
With two toons all epic’d out (Mage and Priest), I turned my attention to my Hunter to see what kind of upgrades I could immediately work towards as I get into Karazhan PUGs equal to her level of gearing (mid-Karazhan/Heroics).
About My Hunter
Right now, my hunter is a Marksman/Survivalist mix, with “uber traps” as the goal of my points in Survival, and Marksman being all about damage where pets are often seen as a bane (Heroics and Raids).
She’s an Enchanter who only recently hit 375 (one of the enchants mentioned below required it, she had the rep just not the level) after sitting at 372 for many many moons. She’s also an Herbalist, at 375 for many moons already.
Her gear is a mix of blues and purples, with a couple of Heroics badge rewards and a couple of purple drops from Karazhan and Heriocs.
Deciding What To Improve
I went to WoW Heroes and looked myself up, and used the information it provided as a way to chart my course for improvement over the next few hours.
I started by going down the list of enchants it suggested for my gear.
My Enchanting Rules (70s)
When doing enchants I have one basic rule: If it’s purple, it gets the best enchant. If it’s blue, it gets whatever is the next cheapest down from the most expensive, but still suggested as a “decent” enchant for my class.
Enchanting Upgrades to Hunter
That lead me to get things like:
Savagery to 2h weapon
Vitality to boots
Cobrahide Leg Armor
+4 stats to both rings
+6 stats to chest
I already had a few other enchants all done - bracer, gloves, shoulder, and head, so this rounded out the enchants nicely.
Gem Upgrades For Hunter
Then I took a look at my gems, and had some 7-8 green gems in various pieces - lots to replace! I searched on Hunter hit cap, and found it to be 142 (correct me if I’m wrong), which lead me to stacking +hit Dawnstone gems (blue) into my gear, replacing the green gems I had originally. By the end, only one green gem was left, and my hit at 143.
Starting Stats, Ending Stats
I didn’t record my exact starting stats, but I know my hit rating was under 100 and attack power was under 1500 unbuffed, crit chance unknown.
Now, after all the enchants and re-gemmings, I’m at:
Hit Rating: 143
Attack Power: 1804
Crit Chance: 19. cheap wow gold 19%
My crit chance is low, but that will improve as I can swap out the +hit gems for other things because my gear will start to have more +hit on it in itself as I collect more badge rewards and get into a few Karazhan groups here and there.
Dungeon Goals
This character is a relatively low priority, but right now has a goal to get to Honored with Zandalar Tribe (Zul’Gurub from the old world) in order to get the enchanting recipes (healing and spellcasting oils). Other than that I will do a few heroics here and there, mostly with friends, and PUG one Karazhan every few weeks. mp3 players
Last week I got into a full clear of Zul’Gurub - it went really smoothly and while no mounts dropped and the Turtle Polymorph book didn’t drop either, it was a lot of fun, and I’m told some of them run ZG regularly for the rep, too

While they may be difficult to heal at times because of the sheer armount of healing they need as everything in the room beats on them, I’m happy being confident that unless people try REALLY HARD, they’re not going to pull aggro and I’m not going to get healing aggro.
So, with that thought, I seek to level my Paladin to be one of those awesome tank-type people. world of warcraft gold
But, right now she’s only level 25 and thus barely has the spellbook skills to be that awesome Pally Tank I know she’ll be in the future. And of course, she hasn’t had much in the way of tanking experience yet either.

My Pally is actually spec’d mostly in the Retribution tree right now, but I’m gearing myself towards the “tank” end of the scale (favoring stamina and intellect for now) instead of the melee DPS (favoring agility and strength) end. I’ve also picked up a helpful tanking-specific addon to go with the fact that I’ll have to lead the kill order and pacing of dungeon instances as a part of that “tanking” job.
For this toon, I’ve opted to attempt to completely avoid healing, having a Priest, Druid and Shammy already doing heals duties… but I HAVE healed a BFD run when the other Paladin in the group only had the mindset to tank and I wasn’t interested in an argument of any type. wow gold
In time I’ll get more points into the actual Protection tree, but right now from what I’ve read, Retribution is the way to go for my spec, despite the fact that I behave and gear like someone others might expect to be geared Protection.
I’m going on the thought, largely, that in Azeroth things have been nerfed so far and are so forgiving for quick leveling that it’s more gearing and behavior than spec that determines how well one plays their role in a group situation.
Professional Aspirations
With my family of toons, I have all of the professions covered, so for now with this one I’ve just gone completely “Gathering”: Mining and Skinning. wow gold kaufen
When the expansion comes out, one of my toons needs to take up Inscription, but I’m not sure whether it will be this Paladin or another of my toons, so for now I’m just gathering and processing and collecting.
